Manager - Finance & Accounting
Roles & Responsibilities
Undertake business development through active identification of leads, conversions of leads to expressions of interest, proposals and engagements
Managing Finance, Accounting & Operations projects of high complexity through projects plans, economics, monitoring and evaluating risks, budgets and delivery of projects as per required standards
Identifying and addressing client or management needs: build, maintain, and utilize networks of client or management relationships; manage resource requirements, project workflow and budgets
Managing risks within the standard PwC’s global policies and procedures
Identifying and applying appropriate costing techniques to a range of situations
Understanding the finance and broader business strategy of clients
Ensuring engagement economics through efficient project management, billing, collection and WIP management
Contributes to the development of new methodologies or approaches to address client or PwC needs
Acting as trusted business advisor with client through knowledge sharing, technical expertise and project management
Manage, coach, develop and mentor staff and project teams
Requirements
Job Specific Requirements:•First Degree in Finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting/Procurement/ Development Management
•MBA/MSc (with Finance/ Business Administration/ Procurement) is desirable
•ACCA or CPA (Qualified) or other accredited Accounting qualification
Job Experience:
•Atleast 5 years’ experience in a combination of following areas: Public Financial Management, Public Procurement, Development Management and general consulting in a professional service environment
•Experience in reviewing of costing and cost management systems
•Financial analysis and modelling
•Demonstrate experience in advising organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in transaction processing, close and consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, and internal and external reporting
•Experience in assignments on shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, and talent management
•Experience in utilizing business intelligence and performance management software tools
•Experience in identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. benchmarks)
•Experience in internal and external reporting, people and organization structures, performance management, budgeting and forecasting capabilities,cash flow optimization and the use of capital and, building and maintaining cost-effective controls.
•Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement, communicating value propositions, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections, and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
•Experience in building and maintaining relations with senior level clients and management
•Demonstrate leadership skills and experience handling and leading projects and diverse teams
•Ability to deliver on business growth targets
•Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Job Knowledge Requirements:
•Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the following industries – Public Sector, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies and International Development Agencies (IDAs).
•Working knowledge and understanding of compliance and risk review procedures, business processes and internal controls are desirable.
