ABOUT THE ROLE
The International Secretariat of Amnesty International is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Officer. In this role you will assist the Procurement and Contracts Manager to drive best practice in procurement across all parts of the organisation, so that we obtain the right goods and services, at the right price and at the right time to support with the delivery of our human rights objectives. You’ll support key procurement processes and ensure that all contracts are reviewed and recorded, while assisting with the minimising of associated legal, commercial and reputational risks. You will support and where appropriate, lead supplier selection processes and negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost savings and improved service delivery. You will maintain a central procurement database to record and store all required contract information, and provide appropriate analysis of organisational procurement performance. In addition, you will work with staff at various levels across the organisation, functioning as a first point of contact for procurement advice and guidance and promoting best practice policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
Along with knowledge of best practice procurement and contract management, you will also have experience of managing procurement processes across a large organisation. You will have experience of the legal and commercial review of contracts. You will also have experience negotiating with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to a variety of audiences. You will be motivated by the opportunity to drive best practice procurement and value for money in a large internationally recognised human rights charity, allowing maximum resources to be used to promote human rights around the world.
