Role Title: Policy Intern
Working Hours: Full Time (9:30am – 5:00pm)
Time Period: 3-6 months
Line Managers: Reporting to Senior Policy Advisor

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Providing administrative and research support for policy, commercial and communications activities
- Drafting policy briefings on UK, EU and WTO issues relevant to ICCs mission
- Assisting in the coordination of our commercial events
- Assisting with mapping of key stakeholders in specific policy areas
- Data entry and administrative tasks
- Coordinating ICC UKs blog programme
- Capturing and collating relevant material for marketing purposes over the coming months and years so you will be coming into ICC UK at an exciting time, at the beginning of a transformation and growth period.
You will be based in ICC UKs new office at Chancery Lane, working closely with the Policy team and ICC UKs Director. This is an extremely exciting and unique opportunity to work for a prestigious and high profile global business network, ideal for someone starting out in their career and eager to make a name for themselves.
Job Specification
You will:
- be finishing your university course in 2015.
- have a degree in a relevant subject such as international relations, history, languages, politics or economics.
- be fluent in English.
- have a familiarity with the key stakeholders in British and EU politics
- be experienced or have an interest in international business and/or international trade.
- be practical in nature and approach problems with a solutions focused mindset.
- be ambitious, a dynamic team player and able to operate in a busy office environment.
- be articulate, well presented and an excellent communicator.

Salary
This internship will be on a voluntary basis, but with travel expenses paid.
Future opportunity
ICC UK is seeking to build its team on a permanent basis. If intern candidates perform well, they will be considered for a more permanent role.
