The Ministry of Home Affairs in close collaboration with UNHCR, the World Bank and other partners is implementing various activities to provide refugee relief support and finding durable solutions to the plight of refugees by way of voluntary repatriation, grant of citizenship by naturalization and resettlement to a third country. To fulfill this mandate, the Ministry of Home Affairs, has set aside some Project Funds, to be utilized in the recruitment of professionally, suitable candidates.
In this regard the Ministry is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the understated vacancies that currently exist in Refugee Service Department, Ministry of Home Affairs.
DATABASE ASSISTANT – (2 POSTS)
Appointing Authority - Permanent Secretary
Responsible to - Assistant Director – Operations & Security
Employment Terms - One year renewable
Duty station - Dar es Salaam (HQ) & Kigoma Zonal office
Required minimum qualification
Possession of a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or
Information Technology and Communication or equivalent, at least three year working experience database management.
Duties and responsibilities
• Develop back – end and front – end connectivity.
• Design, implement and test database.
• Implement security and access control into database.
• Maintain database management system.
• Deliver database services to the users.
• Perform other duties which will be assigned by the respective superior.
• Responsible for regular updating of refugee statistics
