Environment/ Sustainable Land Management Specialist (Team Leader)

Objective :

The aim of the consultancy is to collate current knowledge on status and health of the Lake Victoria Basin within Rwanda, to develop systematic mapping and monitoring tools to identify basin management needs and track progress towards addressing them, and to prepare a range of plans based on the results of the analytics, in collaboration with appropriate government agencies.

Environment/ Sustainable Land Management Specialist (Team Leader)

Agriconsulting is looking for an environment/ sustainable land management specialist (Team Leader) for the World Bank funded consultancy “Technical assistance in environmental and natural resources management” in the framework of the Lake Victoria environment management Project phase two (LVEMPII).

Qualifications and skills

Msc. in Environmental science or post-graduate degree in agricultural sciences, engineering, or equivalent

Fluency in written and spoken English

Professional experience

· 15 years of international experience in sustainable land management

· minimum 5 years of experience in developing countries

· minimum 5 years of experience in developed countries

· Proven e xperience as Team Leader

The assignment should start in January 2016 and the period of implementation will be of 18 months.

The estimated input for this position is of 16 Man Months.
