Good neighbors Tanzania(GNTZ) was established in 2005 and its activity
has been carried out in both Da r es sallam, Mwanza and Dodoma.in particular
GNTZ regional is located in mwanza has
worked with National institute for medical research(NIMR)Mwanza center as a
collaborative partner for NTDs(Neglected tropical diseases)control program in lake zone since 2008.
Maternal health project
Was developed so as to improve the health of a women especially women of
child bearing age and their children, to support and strengthening health
system so as to provide care to women and decrease deaths among women and
children in 12 wards,kishapu,mwadui luhumbo , bunambi,mwadui
luhumbo,ukenyenge,kiloleli,gofila,seke bugoro and lagano wards in kishapu
district in Shinyanga region

Direct entry Qualification
- Holder a diploma degree in social work, community
development, community planning or any other social science
- Working experience with atleast 2 years in the related field will be an
added advantage
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Have computer skills in Ms word, PowerPoint,
internet ,e mails
- High skills on report writing, monitoring and
evaluation
- Skills and work experience in planning and
project management
- Working with Health NGOs especially mother and
child will be added an advantage
- Hard working and committed to the work given
- High level competence and honestly of the work
- Good command of English writing and spoken
Duties and responsibilities
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration
with senior management
- Planning and managing projects with
multiple stakeholders, delivering expected benefits in challenging
contexts to tight deadline.
- Ability to build effective working
relationship, inspiring confidence and credibility with employees at all
levels. Strong influence of others.
- Excellent coordination and planning skills.
- Experience of successfully monitoring and
managing budget.
- Plan ,develop and implement an appropriate
advocacy strategy for Maternal health
- Assist with resource mobilization,
including project design and proposal writing.
- Coordinates development and implementation
of maternal health program
activities
- Collects and analyses data prepares scheduled
and special reports, maintains program/project records and statistical
information
- Develop good working relationship and
appropriate local government and district personnel
- Visiting job sites with field with other operation officers
- Prepare and submit various project reports and
meet deadlines
- Working with internal and external partners on
assigned projects or tasks
- Prepare project related documents as assigned
by supervisor
- Communicate and supervise all activities
related to projects and special funded
- Design recording systems with the operation
manager and team for use in weekly reports on inputs, activities and
outputs
- Gather and analyze statistical data and
general reports
- Monitoring and evaluate different planned
activities of the project
- Assist operation of project with operation
manager
- Ensure effective communication with community
- Planning and managing projects with multiple
stakeholders, delivering expected benefits in challenging context to tight
deadlines
- Facilitate different projects including, water
(wells), sanitation (toilets), prevalence check to the community and MDA
for the community.
- Other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor
