Revenue Assurance Analyst at Tigo Tanzania

Role Purpose To support the Head of Revenue Assurance in the daily activities pertaining to Revenue Assurance, Fraud prevention and detection, Internal control, Information Security and Enterprise Risk Management. Key Responsibilities • Administer and manage the RA System in order to ensure the smooth running of the same. • Provide relevant training to RA staffs on the usage of the different RA systems in order ensure maximum efficiency in the department. • Liaise with relevant stake holders to ensure proper running of the RA systems. • Participate in writing the departmental budget, evaluation of existing and new systems and calculation on the ROI of the RA systems. • Design and implement controls in order to give full assurance to the reported revenue & Costs. • Implement, Monitor and ensure high level of trend monitoring. • Assist HOD RA in preparing management reports. • Assist HOD RA in implementing & Automating RA controls and as per MIC guidelines. This include Standardised RA ,MFS and Bypass controls, Assurance activities :-Bundle, Margin, Rate & Rating, Channel, Commission, Revenue Share, Reporting, Traffic & Network, Subsidy and Bad Debts monitoring. • Automate controls as and when required and provide full guidance and support to other RA staffs in the automation of controls and processes for maximum efficiency in the department. • Provide full support to benchmark activities with respect to MIC RA maturity model and implement and enhance existing controls in order to be 100% compliant. • Carry out End to End reviews and work closely with the Sox compliance team with regards to Bill and Collect internal controls in order to ensure that the controls have been implemented properly as stipulated per internal control manual and changes in the organization reflects in the existing controls. • Assist Head of RA in implementing/ enhancing / automating existing internal controls across the organization. • Carry out audits on reported revenue, systems and processes as per audit plan agreed with Head of RA. •Assist Head of RA in the implementation of relevant RA projects. • Assist the Head of RA in carrying product assurance activities. • Participate actively in all MIC/Tigo Tanzania activities and agreed with Head of RA. • Act as backup for different RA activities performed by other RA staffs as agreed with Head of RA. • Maintain the departmental documents at all times. • Act on Audit findings from internal and external auditors. • Assist the Head of RA in the activities of Fraud Detection and Prevention. • Contribute in both intra and inter departmental projects while working in teams. • Contribute towards identification, correction and prevention of revenue losses. • Assist the Head of RA in Implementing/Enhancing RA Kpi’s for the different RA activities. • Assist Head of RA in implementing cost saving initiatives in the department. Position Requirements • Degree in IT, and/ or equivalent qualifications • Maters Degree would be an advantage • Proficient with Microsoft office tools, Sql, PL-Sql Queries, Batch Scripts, and Oracle & Sql Database Management. • At least 1-3 years experience in a data warehouse environment. • Training in Revenue Assurance and Watchdog Fraud Management Systems. • Knowledge of GSM/GPRS/3G, LTE (Other Telecoms) Technologies • Self Starter and always keen on taking up new challenges. • Reporting and Good presentation skills. • Ability to work in team and geared towards knowledge sharing. • High level of integrity. • Ability to work on odd hours.
