Role overview
The candidate will deliver on the vision of the consortium by ensuring that a broad range of voters (women & youth and people in rural communities) are able to participate in 2015 national election. Specifically he/she will work to ensure that project stakeholders achieve the following results: • Greater public transparency around and public participation in the election process including a voting process that is overseen by media, civil society organisations and citizens who are able to monitor and report irregularities. • Increased capacity and motivation of citizens to take part as voters, monitors and candidates and to hold duty bearers to account. • Duty bearers have improved awareness on their roles and responsibilities to support citizens to actively participate in the next elections. |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
The persons we are looking for will be qualified to degree level, have at least 3 years work experience in governance and accountability projects. |
