SELCOM WIRELESS LIMITED is a technology partner and solutions provider operating in Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and Botswana.
We are currently seeking to recruit a qualified person to the position of Country Manager - Rwanda.
Role/Purpose:
Reporting to Selcom Group Regional Head. The job entails the identification, introduction and roll out of in-country electronic payment opportunities and management of clients providing these services in order to achieve Selcom Rwanda revenue targets. It also involves management of strategic partnerships within the assigned country.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development
Develop and manage the country's strategy and align it to the overall Selcom wireless limited electronic Strategy ensuring growth and development of the business.
- Agent and Merchant Management
Formulate and manage the implementation of sales plans for Selcom wireless Rwanda Key Agents.
Develop and own procedures for recruitment and management of agents.
Ensure that contracts and other operational requirements are in place prior to trading by Agents
- Business Development
Formulate and manage the implementation of sales plans for new services that are deployed for Selcom wireless Rwanda.
Management of cross-functional issues affecting performance of the new services rolled out.
- Revenue Generation
Evaluate market potential and generate performance indicators for different revenue items.
Align the revenue indicators to the Selcom Rwanda revenue targets.
Set targets and develop monitoring and evaluation templates for revenue performance management
- Relationship Management
Champion the development and maintenance of effective relationships with
different types of business.
- Projects and Strategic Partnerships
Identify strategic Selcom Rwanda partners and champion development of the relationships.
- Resources
Ensure that the Selcom Rwanda team is adequately resourced to deliver against business targets
Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Sales and Marketing or a business management discipline
• Hands on experience in Sales and Business Development in a highly competitive commercial environment of at least 2 years
• Have strong business/financial acumen with experience developing metrics and pricing and compensation programs.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience in learning technology, enterprise applications or testing marketplace.
• Good understanding of the assigned country market, subscriber preferences and subscriber trends
• Excellent Contract negotiation experience and high rate at successfully closing deals
• Achievement oriented
• Innovative and creative
• Strong interpersonal and people skills
• A team worker with strong customer focus
• Strong communication/presentation skills
• Strong familiarity with business management
• Confident, self-assured, personable and presentable.

Languages:
