Senior Water Advisor, Water and Development IDIQ

Objective:

Social Impact is preparing for an upcoming procurement from USAID that proposes a multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to acquire innovative and effective practices in the water sector. This would support USAID's work in sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and in enhancing food security through productive use of water in agriculture. The proposed activity (Water and Development IDIQ, or WADI) will provide technical services and support to USAID Missions, Bureaus and Offices worldwide in implementing priority water sector activities. SI is looking for a Senior Water Advisor to provide technical expertise throughout the life of this project.

Qualifications:

The Senior Water Advisor should:

• Have at least 10-15 years of experience at international and senior position in water resource management as well as sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene; Preferably on other Water focused USAID projects;

• Have experience in water sector reforms in developing countries, as well as in evaluation of sector reform process and programs;

• Have a Master’s degree in engineering, natural or environmental sciences or a related discipline;

• Have the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders;

• Have excellent communication and report writing skills;

• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
