About the Job:
Research and Communications Intern - Training and Capacity Building (TCB). S/he will assist the TCB team in Boston and DC with a variety of research based training and capacity building projects, take a lead role in supporting internal communications, and participate in the day-to-day activities of the unit.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Researching and producing “lessons learned” briefs which capture insights and key takeaways from participant experiences in capacity building activities such as exposure visits to best practice institutions, workshops, webinars etc.;
- Supporting the internal communications strategy for the unit – managing content on the team intranet page, drafting intranet posts, e-mails, and other communications, and brainstorming ways to increase the visibility of the unit and its activities within the organization;
- Supporting the planning and execution of training and capacity building activities, including review/editing of materials, event coordination, tracking participation, follow up, etc.;
- Identifying and cataloging case studies, articles and other resources on technical training topics;
- Developing a toolkit of resources to support capacity building activities;
- Researching industry-wide capacity building best practices and programs and donors who support such programs;
- Assisting with administrative tasks and special projects for the team as needed;
- Translating documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications, International Relations, or another related field;
- Excellent research and analytical skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
- Ability to interact effectively and work with a multi-cultural virtual team;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Advanced MS Office skills especially power point and excel;
- Fluency in English and advanced proficiency in Spanish required.
