Malaria Consortium Business Development Administrator


Since its founding in 2003, Malaria Consortium has grown rapidly. Today, it implements projects in 11 countries, and had an income of £30.5m for the financial year ended 31 March 2012. Malaria Consortium seeks a Business Development Administrator to work in its newly created Business Development Unit.
The post holder will work closely with headquarters, regional and country teams to ensure that winning project proposals are submitted in response to solicited and unsolicited opportunities from public and private donors. The candidate is expected to assist in coordinating the preparation of standard proposal contributions from multiple sources, proposal planning and development by preparing schedules, compliance tables and section outlines and meet targets within expenditure budgets in collaboration with the Business Development Director and colleagues.
He/she will also develop new compelling proposals with other colleagues, which are complete, coherent and fully responsive to donor requirements providing final packaging, reproduction, delivery and archiving of final documents. Not only will you develop proposals, but you will also provide administrative and logistical support for internal review processes and other business development meetings. You will assist with development of capacity statements and other business development and communications writing ensuring that business development opportunities are approved by the Global Management Group to initiate the business development process.
The successful candidate will have:
• Degree in English, communications, or journalism • Extensive writing and/or editing experience • Native fluency in verbal and written English. • U.K. work permit required • Strong organisational and time management skills, including ability to juggle editing and packaging multiple sections of proposals or reports simultaneously under tight deadlines • Advanced computer skills; knowledge of publishing software and graphics creation desired
