PURPOSE:
To effectively maintain remuneration procedures and systems to ensure timeous expatriate payment, appropriate benchmarks and available management information
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12
- Relevant HR Degree / Diploma with Financial training
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years in group-wide/global remuneration and benefits environments
- 2 year's experience in an expatriate environment
- 3 year's experience in various local and international tax and benefits regimes
- 3 years generalist HR experience at HR Officer level - with a proven track record of working with line managers
- Payroll experience will be an advantage
COMPETENCIES:
- Fully computer literate with expert working knowledge of the MS suite of products specifically excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- SAP experience will be an advantage
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Benchmarking: Participation and interpretation of salary surveys as and when required (annual and ad hoc) and to populate spreadsheets, etc. with AGA data in the required formats (supplier dependent). As well as interacting with various survey suppliers to ensure accuracy, relevance and delivery of data.
- Annual Salary Reviews: Verification of data integrity from all regions (identify anomalies, obvious errors, grades, titles, formula's, etc.). This also includes verification of economic indicators (per region) and to identify market trends. This is communicated to the Manager: Remuneration. The role holder will be accountable to monitor annual increase implementation (against mandates and budget) and report anomalies to own manager.
- Provision of advisory and specialist support and training to end-users to ensure accurate inputs, data integrity and compliance.
- Expatriate and executive off-shore payroll: Administration of these payrolls to ensure accurate and timeous payment.
- Expatriate work permit administration: Facilitating the issuing of work permits for expatriates (to SA) by providing relevant and compliant documentation, create back-up documentation (i.e. motivations, medical reports, etc.) and to manage the service provider.
- Reporting: Creating and delivering accurate and relevant reports as and when required to facilitate decision making on equity, parity and salary scales.
- Salary Offer Admin: Calculation of packages as and when required and to ensure internal and external equity factors are considered.
- Contract Administration and Maintenance: Developing of Employment contracts for all Stratum IV and above and Expatriates. This includes ensuring accurate data, changes effected as required and compliance.
- MIS Maintenance: Assist with aligning the MIS system to be aligned with and to support the Global Mobility Strategy
- Provide input into the guidelines for expatriate pay and international secondments
- Support on (SAP) system implementation

REMUNERATION:
Salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Schedule of Salaries.
