help2kids, a young and dynamic Swiss non profit organization, is looking for a Field Manager in Tanzania to supervise our projects. We are running a children home for up to 35 children (at the moment 21 children) in Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam and we are supporting a primary school by sending volunteers and providing educational supplies. Moreover we are running a guest house for up to 15 people. Finally new projects are planned and our activities are expanding rapidly.

What we require:
- Passion for children.
- Management skills, ability to manage various tasks at the same time, high ability to work under pressure and attention to detail. Strong work ethic.
- Accounting and budgeting skills and experience in working with Excel.
- Ability to manage and guide 18 employees and up to 10 volunteers. Strong social skills and ability to work with people from all over the world. You need to coordinate a lot of people and motivate and support them. You need to be a positive person able to win people over and to convince them about our projects. You should be able to lead people in a positive way and to create a positive and supporting athmosphere. We are looking for a "team-player", an outgoing personality with communication skills, integrity and passion for what we do.
- Flexibility, creativity and open mindness. Tanzania can be a tricky environment and to manage projects successfully it needs a lot of creativity and new ideas to get things done. You should be highly flexible to adapt quickly to new problems and challenges. With your creativity you should be a "problem-solver" and able to work in a changing environment.
- Experience with social media like facebook and youtube. You should enjoy being a person seen on various social media platforms. The job requires also to manage our website (blog), facebook and to keep in touch with our followers by posting regularly.
- Commitment for at least 1-2 year.

- Passion to work in an international environment with a lot of different cultures and to be always present for our children, employees and volunteers if needed.
We are gladly receiving applications from all over the world. We are looking for someone willing to start latest at the beginning of February 2012. Of course working experience in Africa, especially Tanzania, is very welcome and also some basic knowledge of Swahili is an asset.
The salary amounts to USD 750 per month, one roundtrip flight home per year (to Europe, for other destinations you have to pay the price difference), free housing at the children home, free food, laundry, room cleaning, internet and a car is available at your convenience. Depending on workload 5 or 6 weeks of paid holidays per year.
