DESCRIPTION: COOPI is looking for a Project Manager in charge of Operational coordination for an integrated intervention in Wash, Food Security and Livestock sectors in the rural areas of Southern Ethiopia.
Terms of reference
- To coordinate and monitor project activities.
- To promote coordination with institutional stakeholders.
- To capacitate COOPI project personnel through on job trainings.
- To contribute to the primary elaboration of the project’s documents to be submitted to the Country Coordination Office:
· Periodical operational plan and progress reports.
· Reports to donors
· Amendment request.
5 . To carry out the following duties and administrative functions:· To elaborate, in cooperation with the local administrator, the monthly budget for the funds to be received from the HQ in Milan
· To identify and supervise the financial and economic commitments required for the project implementation
· Purchasing of goods and materials.
To take part to humanitarian coordination meetings at field level.
To manage the application of COOPI Security Guidelines at field level and act ad security focal point.
To organize and coordinate multi sectoral (Food Security and Livestock) Needs Assessment and Baseline survey.
To identify and draft project proposals under the supervision of the Country Coordinator
To carry out other specific tasks as required by the Country Coordinator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· University Degree (technical background in agriculture and livestock being an asset)
· A minimum of three years of relevant working experience, of which two in programming and project management
· Proven Capacity to operate in remote areas
· Proven capacity to manage human resources
· Relevant experience in project writing
· Fluency in English language (knowledge of local languages of Amaharic, Somali, Oromifa being an asset)
· Demonstrated capacity to deal with institutional counterparts (local authorities)
· Result-oriented and problem-solving aptitude
· Confidentiality and diplomacy
· A good dose of sense of humour
