Security Specialists - CCTV

African Barrick Gold’s Bulyanhulu Gold Mine seeks to employ experienced Security Specialists - CCTV who will supervise CCTV shift operators and immediately report any error on the security systems of Bulyanhulu Gold Mine. The incumbent will ensure that operators carry out duties diligently and without fail and will ensure all incidents and CCTV / System failures are reported immediately.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Supervise and assist in the direction of activities of the CCTV Operators
• Issue daily task and target surveillance
• Ensure the Gold Security Standard is adhered to
• Ensure the security system’s integrity is maintained
• Supervise surveillance staff carrying out Focused and Targeted Surveillance
• Ensure that all CCTV operators follows GSS Procedures
• Arrange shift patterns ensuring all surveillance operator posts are manned 24 hours a day and rotated on a regular basis
• Maintain the high standard of discipline expected from the CCTV Operators department
• Ensure reviews and target surveillance as requested by the Security Manager and Mine Investigations Group is carried out
• Ensure all operators comply with Code of Conduct and Ethics Procedures
• Carry out any instructions as directed by the Security Manager
• Assist training and development of CCTV operators
• Responsibilities in Terms Of Section 5.19 of the Barrick Gold Security Standard
o Shall be responsible and accountable for ensuring that non–compliance with procedures is reported without delay
o Shall be responsible and accountable for maintaining, communicating and achieving all surveillance related reports
o Shall report in writing after each shift all instances of non-compliance to the Security Manager with a copy directly to the Processing Plant Manager and the General Manager
o Shall ensure that an updated surveillance manual is held within the surveillance room
o Shall ensure all incidents is logged on SecureBase

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

Education Requirements:
• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• Form VI as a minimum requirement

Experience Requirements:
• Previous surveillance experience is essential
• Extensive security systems background
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Unquestionable integrity
• Committed to abiding by and implementing the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
• Follow all international and Tanzanian laws pertaining to the ‘Use of Force’
• Effective project management skills
