CCTV Coordinator Tanzania-Shinyanga

African Barrick Gold’s Bulyanhulu Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced CCTV Coordinator to supervise and monitor the security cameras and systems of Bulyanhulu Gold Mine. The incumbent will supervise CCTV Operators to ensure that all system errors, any suspicious behaviour and activities are reported. He/she will also train and ensure CCTV operators are qualified to perform their duties in an appropriate manner.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Supervise and assist in the direction of activities of CCTV Surveillance
• Supervise the necessary programs and reporting functions that will facilitate timely reporting of incidents
• Ensure the Gold Security Standard is adhered to
• Ensure the security system’s integrity is maintained
• Supervise training of surveillance staff on Aggressive, Focused and Targeted Surveillance
• Ensure that all Bulyanhulu Mine employees follow Bulyanhulu Mines Security Procedures
• Arrange shift patterns ensuring all surveillance operators posts are manned 24 hours a day and rotated on a regular basis
• Maintain the high standard of discipline expected from the Security department
• Liaise with the Mine Investigations Group to ensure that the system operators are kept informed of any events / actions that may affect the security of the site
• Carry out any instructions as directed by the Security Manager
• Responsibilities in Terms Of Section 5.19 of the Barrick Gold Security Standard
o Shall be responsible and accountable for ensuring that non–compliance with procedures is reported without delay
o Shall be responsible and accountable for maintaining, communicating and achieving all surveillance related reports
o Shall report in writing at the end of each shift all instances of non-compliance to the Security Manager with a copy directly to the Processing Plant Manager
o Shall ensure that an updated surveillance manual is held within the surveillance room

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

Education Requirements:
• Relevant Degree or Diploma

Experience Requirements:
• Extensive security systems background at a Supervisory level
• CCTV Surveillance experience is essential
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Unquestionable integrity
• Committed to abiding by and implementing the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
• Follow all international and Tanzanian laws pertaining to the ‘Use of Force’
• Effective project management skills
