The International Conference on HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA) is the principal biennial conference on HIV for the Africa region. ICASA conference is held every two years where African scientists, health providers, health program managers, social leaders, political leaders, activists and communities come together to share experiences and updates on the response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the continent and around the world. Following a competitive bidding process, Ethiopia has been selected to host the 16th ICASA in Addis Ababa from 4-8 December 2011 under the theme OWN, SCALE-UP, & SUSTAIN. It is expected that the conference will draw up to 10,000 local, regional and international participants.
