JOB DESCRIPTION
Job purpose:
To ensure core security requirements are adhered, security systems are implemented and communicated for smooth articulation or organization operation.
Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Advise management and staff on key security issues that may affect operations.
Ensure core security requirements are implemented and regularly monitored in line with audit security requirement.
To carry out security risk assessment and provide timely advise on appropriate measures and actions.
To develop and monitor appropriate evacuation and other contingency plans for national office and projects.
Provide technical support in establishment and maintenance of an efficient security structures and protocols (like security focal points and security phone call tree).
Timely preparation and submission of incidence report to Regional Security Director and through FST.
Build capacity to staff on security issues.
Networking with local security team from agencies and government.
Other Competencies/ Attributes:
Must be committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualification: Education/ Knowledge/ technical skills and Experience:
The following maybe acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on the job training:
Minimum Qualification required:
Military Qualification between Lieutenant and Colonel or between Inspector and Assistant Commissioner.
BA Degree Social Sciences or related field is an added advantage.
3 Years work experience in supervisory/ Managerial role in military/security.
Other technical skills and Abilities:
Experience in working with peace keeping force will be an added advantage
Computer skills and software knowledge
Demonstrate ability in coordination
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff
Good communication skills
Work environment/ conditions:
Work environment: Office based with frequent travel to the field
Travel: 20 % domestics/International travel is required
