Job title: National Alternative Care and Education Strengthening Advisor
Duty station: Dar es salaam – National Office
Reporting to: National Program Director
The Programmes Advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing the programmes within and will be responsible for achieving the sites fundraising goals and engaging sponsors in ongoing service activities. This includes leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of the organization to ensure meeting site revenue goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the planning of family Strengthening Program and Family based care programs
Coordinate the implementation of programme activities
Build and manage positive relations with the community and/or local authorities
Build a strong programme team by monitoring their performance through implementation of the programme
Oversees the Financial management and administration of the programme
Establish mechanisms for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the programme
Participate in local, national and regional processes, meetings and structures within the organization as required and agreed with the direct superior
Academic Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Project Planning and Management or development studies, International Development, from any recognized university or its equivalent.
At least three (3) years of l working experience and able to demonstrate solid competency and skills in programme/Project Management at managerial level, Grant acquisition and management, Business Development/Programme Development, experience of working with Donor Agencies.
Strong communication skills (Fluent in written and spoken in English and Kiswahili, ability to present information in logical and convincing manner, ability to engage and negotiate, etc).
Computer literacy and competency is a must
Good presentation skills
Coordinates with other facilities in preparation of the quarterly and annual reports of SOS Children’s Village Dar es Salaam in time and perform other coordinating functions as may be required
