Purpose of the position:
To contribute to the achieving Mwanzo Project’s goal by orchestrating nutritional related (and other) activities in Mwanzo project areas as wel as providing technical support and facilitation in the implementation of nutrition in the the mobilization, monitoring and evaluation of the project for more impactful and sustainable transformational development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Support formation of Nutritional counseling group as a model group for demonstration of nutritional issues to Mbuguni ward community
Facilitate training of Nutritional counseling group on nutrient dense food and initiating vegetable gardens in Mbuguni ward
Facilitate HH visit for Nutritional counseling and Cooking demonstration to parents and caregivers on Nutrient dense foods by using local available foods
Support training on identification and the use of iodized salt to parents and local leaders.
Facilitate training on exclusive breast feeding , complimentary feeding, feeding diet during and after pregnancy to women of child bearing age and male partners by using local dishes
Support identification of severe malnourished children in Mbuguni ward and rehabilitating them by using F75 and F100 formula of local available foods in collaboration with nutritional counseling group
Facilitation of water, sanitation and hygiene workshop to women, school children and married couples
Support training to farmers on dry resistant crops and post harvest losses of crops in Mbuguni ward.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
BSc. in Human Nutrition or relevant course
Excellent interpersonal skills, proven networking, team-building and communication skills
At least two years of practical experience
Computer literacy is essential
Other Competencies/Attributes:
Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field
Travel: 10% Domestic is required.
On call: 10%
