Technical Officer - Health System Strengthening & Quality Improvement -Kagera

By putting evidence- based health innovations into everyday practice, Jhpiego works to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the world's most vulnerable populations. Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzania and wishes to fill the following position:

Technical Officer - Health System Strengthening & Quality Improvement 2 positions [1 - Kagera, 1 .; Mara]

Overview:
The HSS&QI technical Officer will provide technical support across RMNCH areas
under MCSP. S/he will coordinate efforts at regional level to strengthen Quality
improvement and health system strengthening interventions that will contribute
to improve the quality of care on Maternal Child Survival at the regional level. S/he .
will work to support the region to implement national policy guidelines and
standards along the continuum of RMNCH care, including' supporting health
facility and community linkages. S/he will also support the health system related
components relevant to MCSP project and beneficiaries.

Required Qualifications:

A degree in nursing, pharmacy or medical' studies, public health or the equivalent
qualifications with strong background in health programs
At least three years of work experience in RMNCH field
Be conversant with Health system delivery in Tanzania
Self-management is necessary (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability).
Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.
Ability to handle different assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
Be cooperative, competent, hardworking, flexible and dependable.
A good clinical couch and mentor:
A team player, willing to assist teams in the implementation of programs where necessary and as requested
Good inter personal skills.
