Lafarge Tanzania (Mbeya Cement Company Limited) is a subsidiary of Lafarge group of companies with its head quarters in Paris France. Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Depot Supervisor, to be based in its Tunduma Depot.

Position Reporting: Distribution Controller

Roles and Responsibilities
• Inventory process including stock replenishment and booking stock in the ERP system timely.
• Monitor and evaluate safety standards within the domain of the depot. The domain includes all physical areas of operation within the depot and all physical areas of operation associated with third parties; specifically transporters and customers collecting cement from the depot.
• Warehousing process including receipt, safekeeping, audit and issue
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly stock take and ensure physical stock take has been captured in ERP and stock variances reports are produced.
• Identification of redundant and obsolete stock ( caked cement  and spilled cement) daily
• Provide training to laborers on safety advisories and tool box talks.
• Enhance the Visible Felt Leadership at the depot
• Generate stock variances reports daily, weekly and monthly
• Ensure Lean thinking, 5S and good warehouse practices, FIFO methods are maintained, implemented and sustainable continuous business improvement.
• Ensure continuous improvement of 3PL through Truck Turnaround Time, new operations thinking, flexibility and depot cost maintenance (reductions).

Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or Business Administration
• Computer literacy particularly in Enterprise Resource Planning Modules, Micro Soft Office packages esp. MS Word, Ms. Project management, MS Power Point, MS Excel & MS Access

Technical Competencies/Additional skills:
• Knowledgeable on industrial Safety
• Possess an appreciation of project management capability
• Attention to detail; maintain records and all paperwork.
