JOB SUMMARY
CUAMM team in Njombe is looking for a committed and motivated Junior Field officer in order to integrate the project “Strengthening Community based Mother and Child Health Interventions in Njombe Region”.
The field officer will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the activities of the project at community level (Njombe DC & Makete DC villages of intervention).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the management of the Senior Field officer and the Project Manager, the Junior Field officer will be responsible for:
· Supporting the Project Manager and the Senior Field officer in organizing and implementing activities of the project;
· Conducting field visits;
· Preparing reports and analysis;
· Monitoring the data collection process;
· Sustaining a good network and relationship with all stakeholder at community level and also local authorities;
· Other duties related to CUAMM’ programs according to the Project Manager requests
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Holder of a degree in community development, development study, social sciences or any relevant subject links with the position;
· At least 2 years of experience on a similar position OR 3 years of experience working at community level in rural context;
· At least 1 year of experience on health project, preferably on Maternal, New born and Child health issues;
· Candidate may have a good knowledge of Njombe Region environment especially Njombe and Makete Districts Villages;
· Be able to drive motorcycle in remote area, on long distance and holding a driving license class A;
· Proficiency with Windows and Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access etc.) computer packages;
· Previous working experience with international NGOs adds advantage;

· Willingness to work outside core hours when needed, to meet the requirements of the role;
LANGUAGES: Swahili and English (essential) / Knowledge of Kikinga and/or Kibena add advantage.
JOB STATION: Field officer is based in Njombe town with frequent travel and stay to Njombe region rural area (Njombe Town 30% of working time – Makete DC & Njombe DC Rural area 70% of working time).
