Context/Scope:
| Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of close to 30%. SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is in turn partly owned by one of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage companies, Diageo. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and a third one in Moshi, which is situated in the northern part of the country near the Kenyan border.
SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14. |

| Oversee the Logistics operations; People Manager and stake-holder manage relationships with Dar/South Sales, Dar Plant Logistics, ADs and 3PL teams in DHL locations |

Accountabilities
| SALES ORDER DELIVERY MANAGEMENT
- Manage the overall operation to ensure sales orders are delivered as planned.
- Ensure transporters are performing as per the set KPIs
- Relationship management of all the key stakeholders is key requirement
FULL BEER / SPIRIT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Ensure the 3PLs perform according to the contracts ie DHL, Fleet express, etc.
- Posting full’s beer /spirit received from SBL DAR, SBL MWANZA, SBL Moshi, NAIROBI and other locations received at the DHL Depot into SAP
- Posting primary breakages (transit and warehouse breakages) into SAP System on a Daily basis (includes spillage/under fill etc)
- Send the daily report of full’s stocks received from SBL DAR, SBL Mwanza, SBL Moshi and KBL to the relevant party for the daily reconciliation of dispatches
- Daily Reconciliation of the closing balances in SAP against Physical Stocks and get them signed by DHL counterparts.
- Provide the full data with costing to CSD in case of any accident /loss of goods that may happen and raise debit notes to the concerned Suppliers.
- Own the reconciliation of the SIT plant on a weekly basis and secure sign off from the Logistics Manager.
EMPTIES MANAGEMENT
- Overall management of empties on site.
- Manage daily real time posting of the empties received from customers into SAP
- Ensure physical counts of the Empties take place and secure sign off from DHL.
- Ensure a daily empties reconciliation of SAP (Book) against physicals is done and signed off.
- Maintain a tracker of the empties dispatched to other plants from the DHL empties yard e.g. SBL DAR, SBL MWANZA, SBL Moshi and KBL
- Ensures monthly reconciliation status for ADs are maintained.
YARD MANAGEMENT
- Hold 3PL accountable on the general yard operations and management to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
- Monitor and ensure the processes are implemented as per the service level agreements.
- Manage 3PL to own & keep track of their KPIs, facilitate the sessions of stipulated performance reviews.
- Manage and ensure operations meetings take place 3 times a week.
- Share the plans with the 3PLs and set targets according to plans.
PEOPLE MANAGER
- Acts as the Team Leader and focal point for the SBL team implanted in DHL
- Role models the ZERO HARM + 100% CoBC compliance
- Coordinates leave schedules, working shifts to deliver effective work-life balance
- Holds coaching conversations with individual members of the team that unlocks seamless performance and therefore secure motivation in the team.
- Ensures effective & winning P4Gs are generated and delivered upon.
- Acts as the GAR champion

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Degree in relevant field
At least 3 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment |
