The Facility Management (FM) function is considered part of the support processes in Statoil and covers two main disciplines in a global basis; real estate and facility services. The main purpose of the FM function is to manage and develop the Group’s real estate and physical workplaces worldwide, including the services needed to run an efficient office.
The scope of work is modeled and covers the following processes: Property management, Workplace management, Operation & Maintenance, Safety and Security, Office support, Hospitality and Art management. The added value created by the FM function in Statoil is the result of the combined effect of three elements: an optimal management of the real estate portfolio, the development of sustainable workplace solutions that support core business activities and an efficient delivery and production of FM services.

Job description

  • As a student participating in Statoil’s summer internship program you will have the opportunity to contribute in the development of strategic areas within the FM function: real estate, workplace development. Additionally, diverse FM Management areas like contract management, service development & consultancy and cost management will be part of the scope in both a global as Norwegian scale
  • Your exact assignment will be made on the basis of your field of expertise, your interests and prioritization of our business needs
  • You should be able to actively work as a member of a team, collaborating with advisors and specialists of relevant disciplines
  • It is expected you prepare a final delivery including a written report and a presentation to the management team during the internship period.

Qualifications

  • We are looking for 4th year master students with background from the following study disciplines:
  • Real Estate and Facility management
  • Industrial economics and technology management
  • Business administration and economics
  • Law, Architecture, Civil Engineering
  • International experience is preferred (lived, studied, and/or worked abroad)
  • Excellent English language skills, written and oral
  • Additional languages are an advantage
