GIZ International Services (IS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.
GIZ IS is planning to submit a proposal for an EC funded project in the health sector in the Republic of South Sudan: Better Health for South Sudan (BHESS).
The overall objective of the programme is to improve the health status of the population of South Sudan, particularly the poor.
In order to achieve this objective, the specific objectives are as follows:
- To Increase access and utilization of basic health care of improved quality
- To produce skilled human resources and to develop management capacity within the public health sector.

Your tasks
The Team Leader will be in charge of the organisation and coordination of the activities and performance of the project. He will provide TA to the relevant administration to deliver results and will advise and support all responsible persons.

Your profile
- Master degree in Public Health, Human Resources Management or relevant field
- Excellent English drafting skills and Fluency
- Strong analytical skills
- Working experience with donors and institutions
- Previous working experience in a fragile country in Central East Africa.
- Working experience as a Team Leader in 1 -3 donor funded projects
- Proven ability to develop and maintain good professional relations with stakeholders
- Minimum 8, but preferably 12 years of professional experience in Basic Health Care
Programms.
- Professional experience of minimum 5 years of HRM (Human Resources Management) in
the Health Sector resp. in HRH (Human Resources for Health)
- Previous experience in improving training infrastructure will be an asset
- Previous experience in design/development of training curriculums especially for nurses,
midwives and laboratory technicians will be an asset
