Overview: The M&E Specialist will lead efforts to monitor program activities and evaluate results. Under the guidance of the M&E Director, s/he will lead efforts to collect and analyze data in support of reporting efforts and informing of program management and direction. Responsibilities: - Develops and implements a comprehensive, results-oriented project M&E plan and system and ensures adherence to Pathfinder standards and USAID requirements
- Develops/adapts tools for gathering data and oversees data collection efforts with a focus on ensuring the generation of reliable and quality data; and analyzes data collected
- Collaborates with the Communications and Reporting Specialist in contributing to project reports for presentation to external sources including donors and stakeholders and to inform decision-making by senior management through targeted recommendations and suggestions related to project planning based upon evaluations of program data
- Provides technical assistance and training to staff and partner organizations in M&E practices
Key Qualifications: - Degree in social sciences, public health, statistics, demography, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience, particularly in M&E positions
- Demonstrated experience with M&E activity design and implementation
- Experience with USAID or other donor programs, particularly in health service delivery
