Position:
1. The volunteer coordinator will live and work at the Rift Valley Children’s Village, an orphanage located in the Karatu District in northern Tanzania.
2. The volunteer coordinator will be responsible for inquiries, scheduling, orientation, and daily management of volunteers on the ground at the Rift Valley Children’s Village.
3. S/he must enjoy interaction with all sorts of people and have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
4. As a member of the senior staff, s/he will attend the morning staff meetings and provide daily reports of the status of the volunteer program.
5. Volunteer coordinator is responsible for hosting visitors and giving tours of the Children’s Village.
6. S/he will assist in the receiving and storage of donated supplies.

Requirements:
- Commitment of one year
- Minimum of a 4 year college degree
- Start date of September 1, 2011
- Application deadline of July 25, 2011

Position includes:
- $500 per month stipend (paid in USD)
- Round trip airfare travel allowance for each year of employment
- Health insurance for term of service
- Room and board, including a private apartment provided on RVCV campus
- Internet access
- Housekeeping support
- Transport to town as needed
