CA Global: Engineering and Construction (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Resident Engineer (Road Projects). The position will be based in Tanzania.

Overview:

The selected candidate will perform the role of Resident Engineer for the project leading a team of Civil Engineer, Materials Engineer, Land Surveyors, Site Inspectors, Materials Inspectors and Quantity Surveyors. The project entails the construction of roads

Responsibilities

• The Resident Engineer will therefore need to have a good background in planning

• Monitoring and handling the contractor.

• Liaise with other Authorities.

• Advise on contractual and construction matters.

• Liaise with Department and approve Contractor’s submissions

• Be fully conversant with the Contract Terms and Conditions. Implement the terms and conditions of Contract.

• Generally supervise, review, monitor and report on progress.

• Issue additional drawings etc. as required.

• Provide technical leadership to his team.

• Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.

• Give final approval to works and arrange handover

Requirements:

• A Bsc degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience of at least 12 years in road design ,5 years in road construction and 3 years as a team leader.
• French a MUST
• Experience in East Africa a bonus
