Minimum Requirements

Qualifications Required: NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS MUST ADDRESS EACH SELECTION CRITERION DETAILED BELOW WITH SPECIFIC AND COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION SUPPORTING EACH ITEM. Items 1- 6 are ALL REQUIRED 1. Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business administration, public administration, finance, law or related fields.2. A minimum of three years experience working in community development, project management and program funding/budget management, with a minimum of six months supervisory experience.3. English level IV (Fluent) reading/writing/speaking (This will be tested). 4. Professional and specialized knowledge of grant writing, project management, contract drafting and interpretation, basic accounting and business skills. Must be able to compose effective written reports and documents.5. Must have excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to draft correspondence, memoranda and other documentation.6. Must be proficient in the use of all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite 2007. (This will be tested) |
Job Specification
Basic Function of Position: The incumbent administers and manages the Mission’s community grants programs throughout South Africa. The incumbent oversees the entire life cycle of the grants, including making recommendations to senior management for the awarding of the grants, monitoring progress and preparing reports on completed projects. |
