2.6 billion people want you to read on
It's hard to believe that in today's modern world nearly 900 million people still don't have access to clean water. It's even harder to believe that a full 2.6 billion don't have access to a safe toilet. And if we told you that this situation is killing 4,000 children every day, you would recognise – as we do – that something needs to be done as a matter of urgency.
In this new role, you'll be responsible for ensuring WaterAid becomes a truly effective campaigning organisation. You'll spend time working closely with WaterAid offices and partners in countries as diverse as Malawi, Nepal and Nigeria, as well as our Pan-Africa team, to create impactful campaigns that change lives. Not only that though; you'll be looking at how we join up our national campaigns so that we can make as much noise as possible.
We are looking for high-flyers who have a track record of running successful campaigns. You will have developed your commitment to our cause through your extensive experience working with civil society at national or regional levels in Africa or Asia, so you’ll bring your understanding of campaigning in different contexts with you. You’ll be politically savvy, have strong interpersonal skills and have the bundles of energy needed to bring about change.
Our ambition is massive. We need you to help us deliver it. If you bring your expertise, your passion and professionalism, we'll give you a lot back.
For more information, please download Campaigns Co-ordinator Africa and Asia Information Pack ( Word 607KB). You will also need to complete the Equal opportunities monitoring form ( Word 202KB).
Closing date: 26th June 2011
First interview: 11th July 2011
Second interview: TBC
We are committed to welcoming people from the widest possible diversity of backgrounds, culture and experience.
