Musoma Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MUWASA) is a utility established under section 9 of the Water Supply
and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009 with the objective of provision of Water Supply and Sanitation services in Musoma
Municipality. In this respect, the activities of MUWASA have specifically expanded and the authority now invites application
from suitably qualified and skilled individuals who are dynamic and result oriented to fill the following post:-

1 :2 Responsibilites _ •
The Engineer II is Responsible for water distribution, waste water disposal, plant maintenance, planning, design and
construction activities of the Authority according to agreed public health performance standards.

Task
1. Water Network

To assist in survey, development and maintenance of water works.
To organize maintenance of water networks.

To conduct periodic and regular inspection of the supply area and take appropriate remedial measures.
To supervise the preparation and implementation of water works activities.
To analyze causes for water loss and recommend accordingly.
To review performance of water works and prepare necessary reports.

2. Planning Design and Construction

To assist in collection and ana lysing systems and procedures for urban water supply and sewerage network.
To assist in carrying out technical, economic, social and financial appraisal or proposed project.
To assist in carrying out master planning for urban water supply and sewerage network.
To analyze demand for water and sewerage service.
To assist in establishment of design standards and specification for all development works undertaken by
MUWASA.
To assist in assessment, design and supervision of extension of water distribution lines.
To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

1:3 Minimum Qualifications

Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advance Diploma in Civil, Water Resources from a recognized i'nstitution. Masters
and Computer competence in Engineering packages will be an added advantage.

1.4 Minimum Experience
Possession of at least three (3) years of working experience in a similar position

Not above 45 years of age.

1:6 Remuneration
