Job Title: Assistant Curriculum Coordinator (Chemistry) – 1 Vacancy
Desired Qualifications
Holder of Master’s degree in education or related field with Chemistry as a major subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution with a minimum of fouryears in teaching, curriculum development or educational management. In addition, the candidate must be eligible for registration as a technical teacher by virtue of his/her qualifications.
Provided that where the Master’s degree is not in or with education, it should be necessary for the candidate to have specialisation in education at the Bachelor’s degree level.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Teaches up to NTA Level 8 (Bachelor’s degree);
• Designs and develops curricula for schools and colleges;
• Tries out developed school and college curricula;
• Assists in providing consultancy services;
• Writes academic papers as well as teaching and learning materials in the area of specialisation;
• Supports and liaises with the subject association where it exists;
• Organises and conducts seminars for tutors, teachers and other stakeholders;
• Designs and conducts educational research related to the subject of specialization under supervision; and
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
