Financial Accountant

Purpose of the Position
To give financial and business support to Insurance operations and Insurance Management team.

The Successful candidate will be based in Oar Es Salaam and will report to the Financial
Controller in Insurance

Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Filling of quarterly statutory remittances and reports to The Commissioner for Insurance Tanzania.
Ensure accounts analysis and reconciliations are prepared and correcting entries made in the subsequent month.
Periodic cash flow management and reporting
Ensure that the fixed asset register maintained is of high integrity.
In charge of the Bank correspondences and transactions such as Fixed Deposits interest rates, Exchange rates
Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of company infernal controls
Ensuring that Inter-company accounts are reconciled and confirmed as per the reporting time table
Any other duties as may be allocated by your supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Accounting
Three years working experience as an Accountant with proven skills in treasury management, audit coordination and financial reporting preferably in an insurance firm.
Excellent computer skills.
