Amref Health Africa is an independent, non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose mission is "to improve the health of people by partnering with and empowering communities and strengthening health systems". Amref Health Africa-Tanzania is largely supported by Multilateral, Bilateral and National donors, implementing several programmes including HIV/AIDSITB/Malaria, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Water and sanitation, capacity building and clinical outreach.
Amref Health Africa with its partner Legal Human Right Centre (LHRC) have received funds from UN Women through the UN Trust Fund to implement a three year project on Female Genital Mutilation Elimination (Tokomeza Ukeketaji) in Serengeti district, Mara region.
Also, Amref Health Africa has received funding from the Government of Canada under "Partnership initiatives to Strengthen Maternal New- born and Child Health (PS-MNCH) in developing countries. This is a five year project to be implemented in two districts in Geita region (Geita DC and Nyang'wale).

Project Officer- Monitoring & Evaluation: PS- MNCH (DFATD) Based in Mwanza
Reports to: Project Manager PS-MNCH (DFATD) GEITA
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Manage project results using Results-Based Frameworks and the project reporting tools
Align with the MOHSW HMIS/DHIS2 and adoption of
RMNCH and project related indicators into the project HMIS and reporting system in accordance to Amref Health Africa M&E framework.
Designing and work closely with the M&E Manager in adopting appropriate Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools
Take lead in monitoring quality of RMNCH services through conduct of supportive supervision, data collection analysis and interpretation
Provide M&E training 'and on-going assistance to project team and partners to ensure quality data collection, analysis and use of data for decision making and timely report writing.
Capture lessons learned and best practices, documentation and dissemination of information. Also, assisting development of presentations, abstracts, articles, etc.
Proactively work with partners and project team to prepare performance data for the collected reports
Refine project reports and timely submission including timely feedback on quality and contents to project team and partners
Regularly evaluate results achieved by the project and partners against their targets and track overall progress in achieving project goals.
Work with project team in identification of lessons/evidence to feed into policy reviews, generation of advocacy agenda Actively participate in operational research
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in statistics, Demography, Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Medicine and Nursing, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Understanding in the basic statistics package and computer skills
Ability to work independently good leadership and communication skills
Ability to work with people from all backgrounds
