The International Law Institute – African Centre for Legal Excellence is a regional training institute that is based in Kampala, Uganda where it has been providing capacity building programmes and technical assistance to African professionals and institutions over the past 18 years. With offices also in Lesotho and Kenya, ILI-ACLE is dedicated to supply affordable and high-level post-professional education to public and private sector officials in the continent in the areas of law, governance, finance and project management.
The Marketing Intern will be responsible for representing the ILI-ACLE brand through social media and email communications. We are looking for an intern that can commit to working 35 – 40 hours a week. The daily work schedule would be based on our needs and the Intern's availability.This is a non-paid internship; however, based on the Intern's performance and ILI-ACLE's capacity, the Intern can be eligible for participation in company in a paid position.
Social Media Content (50% of role):
- Engagement to produce fresh, original content and constant updates for ILI-ACLE social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Institute's website.
- Interact and engage with our donors and facilitators on social media.
- Develop and launch social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
- ATL and BTL advertising.
- Analyze past campaigns and content and translate what you learn into future campaigns.
Email Marketing (25% of role):
- Work with our Marketing Associate to draft a new target mail every two weeks and send them to our contacts.
- Track success rate of target mails sent (based on number of mails opened, clicked bounced, etc.)
- Update target mail tracker to indicate progress – weekly.
- Meat deadlines and target numbers.
General Marketing Duties (25% of role):
- Enter all contacts and faculty opportunities on the database.
- Clean repeated and bounced contacts from database to our used mass email programme.
- Use online research tools to find out and identify new potential customers (participants).
- Reconcile contacts from the mass email programme with contacts from database.
- Create a process for registration of new contacts in database and transfer to software used.
- Submission of Marketing report every week.
- Support the Marketing Team on initiatives where necessary, which could include leading team calls, writing thank-you notes, researching campaign prospects, taking notes on phone calls with external contacts, etc.
