Rio Tinto Energy has recently acquired control of Riversdale Mining in Mozambique. Riversdale currently has 2 projects, the Benga project which is set to produce first coal in 2011, and the Zambeze project which is at feasibility stage. The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) department is responsible for all Information, Communication and Technology requirements for Rio Tinto Coal Mozambique (RTCM) including implementing and maintaining ICT systems and infrastructure. The incumbent, reporting to the IT Manager is responsible to assist with on-going IT operations and the supply and consultation with vendors and suppliers to meet the IT requirements of the Zambeze Project. They will also serve as a key team member in the ICT commissioning projects for transitioning of all ICT infrastructures from project to operations.
