A new post is available for an internationally renowned individual with a track record in laboratory-based research that is relevant to understanding and combating emerging infectious diseases. Applications are open to those with a background in bacterial, viral or parasitic pathogens.
The successful candidate will be charged with initiating an active and innovative research programme that provides the expertise and authority necessary for the School to give leadership and guidance in response to emerging infections. The appointee will also contribute to the School's PhD and Masters level programmes in areas compatible with their expertise. The appointee will be placed on the scales according to skills and experience, up to the level of professor.
The post is funded by the School on a without duration contract and is available from 1st July 2012. The successful candidate will be placed on the scales according to skills and experience, up to the level of professor.
