Position: Manager, Expansion Study
The Manager, Expansion Study is responsible for providing project management leadership for the proposed expansion of the Murowa Diamond Mine above its current installed capacity of 500,000t per year ore processing capacity. The role will be required to complete the detailed expansion study and detailed feasibility study report to a standard required for an investment decision.
Accountabilties
Confirm the expansion option/s that will be taken forward to a detailed feasibility study for the expansion of the operation
Manage/lead technical professionals in all discipline aspects of the project including:
- mine development and long-term plans;
- ore reserve calculations and geological modelling;
- mining;
- processing;
- infrastructure;
- environmental;
- social and communities;
- project execution planning;
- operational readiness;
- cost estimation;
- financial analysis;
- project risk; and
- safety and health.
Manage and finalise the expansion feasibility study
Prepare the IC paper for the expansion
Ensure the study is of acceptable quality to comply with TEG and BED study standards
Provide technical support to the Managing Director for the development of the operation's strategic plan
Manage/lead the work relate to the planning and implementation of Murowa's indigenization plan
Lead other business initiatives identified by the Managing Director from time to time
Manage costs and timelines for all work to achieve planned budgets and schedules
Meet business and personal safety plan commitments
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Finance, Commercial or a related discipline
- At least 10 years relevant experience with mining operations involving experience in technical and production roles and/or business development.
- Additional skills also preferred
- Degree in Business Administration or MBA
- Major Project Management experience
- Business Evaluation and financial modelling
- International work experience or assignment
