Overview: The MIS Specialist will lead program efforts to capture critical information for monitoring progress and informing management decisions. Under the guidance of the M&E Director, s/he will develop of the MIS framework and platform and oversee usage. Responsibilities: - Develops the project’s MIS framework, tools, and resources including M&E software; open source, web technologies; and relational databases to support management’s tracking of programmatic progress and decision-making for project planning
- Provides training and assistance to project staff and partners to effectively use MIS systems
- Contributes to the preparation of technical and financial reports related to results monitoring activities as well as MIS training materials and guides in collaboration with the M&E team
- Assesses the availability of data (inputs and data sources), flow of data, and uses of data and assist in developing and/or adapting systems and procedures for timely recording and updating of baseline information at community level and service delivery points
Key Qualifications: - Degree in technology, social sciences, public health, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience, particularly in M&E and information systems
- Success developing MIS frameworks, tools, and resources
- Experience with USAID or other donor programs, particularly in health service delivery
