We are looking for a learning and development professional with a background in educational development and a strong interest in the area. The successful candidate will have a pro-active approach focused on quality and results and the ability to support the development of staff from a wide range of levels and backgrounds, both academic and non-academic. With a particular focus on learning and teaching, s/he will also contribute to other aspects of a broad, very well respected programme of staff development activities.
To succeed in this role the candidate will need to be flexible, well-organised and able to perform effectively in situations ranging from training delivery to one-to-one assessment feedback.
The Lecturer in Learning and Teaching Development will take on the role of Course Director of the School's Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching. They will also work with the Head of Staff and Educational Development and others to find ways to deliver elements of the Certificate to staff based overseas and also colleagues at collaborating institutions.
The post offers the opportunity to play a significant role in developing further the School's highly successful and very busy Staff and Educational Development Programme.
Salary will be on the Academic Pathway grade 7 (£41,477 to £47,502 per annum inclusive). The appointment will be for a three-year period.
