The Center: CIP is a not-for-profit international agricultural research-for-development organization with a focus on potato, sweetpotato, and Andean roots and tubers. CIP is dedicated to achieving food security, improved well-being, and gender equity for poor people in root and tuber farming and food systems of the developing world. CIP is a member of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research, a network of 15 research centers mostly located in the developing world and supported by more than 50 donor members.
The position: Talent Management is central to the organization and CIP now seeks to make the key appointment of a Recruitment Officer. This is a newly created role which will report to HR Global Head and will work across the whole organization - HQ, the regional and country offices - and oversees the development of appropriate HR practices and policies.
CIP is harmonizing its HR processes and currently reviewing many of the internal processes and this role is focused on the design, implementation, management and administration specific to Talent Management. In addition to relevant professional qualifications, it is important to have a proven track record interacting and influencing partners and stakeholders across a multi location environment. As a Recruitment Officer, your primary accountability is to partner with Managers to achieve our agreed talent acquisition objectives. You will work closely with the HR Global Head and HR Manager to understand and apply policy and effectively interface with social networks. You will be responsible for managing the end to end recruitment process from role definition through to on-boarding.
Duties and Accountabilities: This is a pivotal role with focus on Recruitment strategy and the development of standards and best practice. Activities range from providing industry knowledge and expertise to internal stakeholders, analyzing information, managing reviews, tracking emerging trends, coordinating and managing operational recruitment duties/tasks and generally supporting the management on a range of recruitment initiatives to attract, retain and motivate CIP employees. You will work alongside the HR Global Head and the HR Manager to manage internal/external recruitment and administration ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and customer service are adhered to at all times.
Selection Criteria:
- Broad Recruitment background & relevant professional qualifications
- Experience in Succession Planning, Talent Review, high potential identification and recruiting scarce skills
- Management of internal and external recruitment activities placing priority on filling key roles in line with agreed global processes and Service Level Agreements
- Regional or international experience and knowledge of Peruvian labor law gained in consulting or corporate environments
- Experience in developing sourcing methods, e.g. social channels, networking, direct sourcing, internet recruiting, data mining, advertising, employee referrals, competitor contacts and third party vendors /partners
- Familiarity with integrated assessment solutions including empirical testing and competency/behavioral interviewing solutions
- Recruitment experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality hires with strong line manager and candidate satisfactions
- A strong awareness of brand management and employee value propositions
- Experience of reporting on recruitment outcomes (cost, headcount, time, quality of talent, application flow) and generate reports in appropriate format; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Good interpersonal and motivational skills
- Ability to deliver effective results, work within tight deadlines and meet targets
- Fluent English and Spanish language skills
Conditions: This position is local and employment contract will be for a 6 months term with the possibility of renewal. CIP prides itself on its collegial and supportive working environment, which allows space for personal and professional growth.
