As a Africa Tax Coordination Manager, you will be responsible for building client relationships and to manage clients needs across Africa. You will be the contact person point with the client from a coordination perspective to manage the account across the region on a day to day basis and ensuring we provide a connected service to the client. You will also be responsible for coordinating adhoc tax advisory projects across the Africa Sub Area. As a Manager you will be responsible to ensure quality reports and opinions are delivered to the client. You would also need to challenge the advise received from the ASA teams and provide combined reports to the client.
Client responsibilities
- Manage ongoing client engagements, both locally and in conjunction with Ernst & Young practices in other countries
- Ensure timely completion of all client deliverables, including both compliance and compliance advisory projects
- Identify additional compliance advisory project opportunities and business development ideas
- Manage all aspects of the client relationship
- Build and develop strong relationships within the engagement team, throughout the firm and with client personnel
People responsibilities
- Lead a team when required, working effectively with colleagues and involving supervisors in the project when it's appropriate to do so
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and identification of development needs for staff
- Be involved in people initiatives, including recruiting, retention and training
- Maintain an education program to develop personal skills and qualifications on an ongoing basis
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
