PATH, a nonprofit international health organization committed to improving health worldwide, is collaborating with the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Zanzibar’s Ministry of Health, National and Zanzibar Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programmes (NTLP & ZTLP), National and Zanzibar AIDS Control Programmes (NACP & ZACP), and the Association of Private Health Facilities of Tanzania (APHFTA) to support a coordinated public- and private-sector response to tuberculosis and HIV with support and funding through USAID and the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will serve as a member for PATH’s TB and TB/HIV programs in Tanzania work under the supervision of the PATH TB/HIV Project Administrator. The Driver will provide driving and other office assistance such as photocopying and other errands.
Specific Duties:
Driving PATH’s vehicle(s) as may be assigned by the Administrator or his designated personnel
- Maintaining mechanical and general cleanliness of vehicle and minor repairs
- Ensures timely performance of major or minor service according to schedule
- Daily vehicle check-up according to standard daily check list
- Regular recording of log book
- Perform any other duties related to the above as assigned by Supervisor
- Possession of Form IV Secondary Education with a Class C valid Tanzanian driving license
- Ability to communicate in English and Swahili is essential
- 4years driving experience; knowledge in defensive driving a plus
