The Youth Enterprise Development Fund is a flagship project of Vision 2030 and is the leading youth economic empowerment agency in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Fund now seeks to recruit officers to fill the following positions which have arisen as a result of expansion:
1. General Manager (Re-Advertisement)

- Provision of visionary leadership and direction to the organization to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources;
- Provision of leadership in formulation and implementation of best business practices, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Promote an organizational culture that promotes high clients service standards and ethical practices
- Continuously review the organization’s business strategy and recommend appropriate changes in line with the changing business environment
- Oversee the preparation of annual business plans, operating budgets and management reports to facilitate decision making by the board.
- Develop and nurture business relationships with relevant stakeholders and institutions in promotion of our organizational goals.
- Create conducive work environment for attracting, retaining, and motivating employees.
2. Enterprise Development Officer

Reporting to the Senior Enterprise Development Officer, the Enterprise Development Officer will be in charge of the Enterprise Development portfolio and will be responsible for development of entrepreneurial skills among our client, the youth, through a combination of enterprise development approaches with a view of increasing the client’s entry, growth and competitiveness in the business environment.

Duties and responsibilities
- Carrying out surveys to establish client’s entrepreneurial needs;
- Identifying and recommending appropriate training needs for the entrepreneurs who have benefited from the organizations products countrywide;
- Appraising the courses developed for SME by different players and develop training content, manuals and handbooks for use by the organization in building entrepreneurial capacity of the youth;
- Coordinating and training youth entrepreneurs across the country
- Reviewing and advising on the enterprise development strategy of the Fund
- Identifying strategic players to collaborate with the organization in development and piloting of new strategies as well as provide continuous mentoring to the upcoming youth entrepreneurs;
3. Procurement Officer (II)

Reporting to procurement officer, the procurement officer will be responsible to providing efficient and effective service to Youth Fund in the successful procurement of goods services and works.

Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare documentation, undertake tender exercises and arrange for formal execution of contracts to enable the Fund obtain goods, services and works
- Undertake the evaluation and analysis of tenders; prepare summary reports and recommendations to facilitate the effective award of business.
- Oversee the letting of contracts awarded to ensure that formal documentation is assembled and auctioned
- Provide advice and guidance to all staff and Departments on contracting to ensure full compliance with policy and regulations.
- Establish and actively monitor designated contracts to ensure customer needs are met and that supplies obligations are fully discharged.
- Maintain effective liaison with the legal department in respect of contract issues, ensuring that documents are legally vetted, including processing single tender applications to enable contracts for proprietary goods and services to be let.
- Co-ordinate the formal vetting of prospective tenderers to determine their suitability for trading.
- Undertake negotiation with suppliers to resolve disputes, arrange contract variations and enforce contractual obligations.
- Monitor designated Fund contracts to provide effective support to customers during the implementation, review and renewal of such contracts.
- To be familiar with supply markets and routinely undertake supply market research and analysis to ensure that the commercial risk to the Fund is minimized, and commercial opportunities are identified.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of the annual Departmental service plan, key performance indicators, and the Fund’s procurement strategy

- Be able to demonstrate ability to co-ordinate complex procurement work without supervision
- Must be able to negotiate, agree and implement contracts, in line with recommended policy and procurement guidelines.
- Evaluate and assess the value of information identifying relevant patterns and trends.
- Use the information to take appropriate action and achieve desired outcomes.
- Work co-operatively with staff members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of the Fund’s goals, objectives and service.
5. Internal Auditor (I)

- Bachelors degree in Commerce or any other business related degree
- CPA (K) or any other accountancy qualification
- Three years experience in a public or private organization
- Membership to an accountancy professional body
- Knowledge of risk management, public procurement laws and regulations and understanding of risk based analysis
6. Security Officer (I)

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Security officer will serve as the process owner for all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of the customer, employee, and business in compliance with organization policies and standards.

- Serve as an internal security consultant to the organization
- Document security policies and procedures created by the Security Committee
- Provide direct training and oversight to all employees, affiliate marketing partners, alliances, or other third parties, ensuring proper information security clearance in accordance with established organizational information security policies and procedures
- Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to create security awareness within the organization
- Perform security risk assessments and serve as an internal auditor for security issues
- Implement security policies and procedures for the organization
- Monitor compliance with security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager
- Coordinate the activities of the Security Committee.
- Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
