Job profile
The purpose of this post is to support the International Development Director in making an impact in Africa through Islamic Help’s development program by ensuring effective operations management and contributing to the long-term organizational strategy and capability.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the overall development and implementation of IH’s strategy, approach and objectives in Africa in consultation with the International Development Director and in line with IH’s global strategy and priorities.
2. To implement and manage program strategy, operations, risk management strategy, monitoring & evaluation systems and budgets ensuring they are in accordance with IH’s global policies, principles and development approach.
3. To ensure sufficient and timely flow of management and operation information and reports to IH HQ according to established reporting standards.
4. To ensure that IH’s financial, administrative and HR policies are adhered to in all programs and by all staff post-holder is responsible for
5. To directly line manage the Country Managers and ensure he/she effectively manages supports and guide the staff and volunteers involved in program implementation.
The candidate should possess a master’s degree in development work and minimum 3 years experience in managing development programs or posses a bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years experience in managing development work. Strong written and oral communication skills in English along with good leadership and team skills are essential.
