Description: | IMA World Health is seeking an experienced Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated Department of Health and Human Services/CDC-funded project to provide a continuum of HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The COP will provide leadership and management for all aspects of program development, including technical and financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting, assuring the quality, impact and cost effectiveness for the successful implementation of the project. |
Duties: | The COP will maintain collaborative working relationships with the donor, the Ministry of Health at the national and province levels, international and local partners, and other stakeholders. S/he will provide effective management and support of staff and provide guidance and assistance in reporting, documentation, and knowledge management. |
Qualifications: | Desired qualifications: Medical degree (MPH strongly preferred); at least 8 years successful experience in the management of health and HIV/AIDS programs of a similar size and scope in Africa (conflict and/or post-conflict country experience strongly preferred); demonstrated technical skills and experience in HIV/AIDS programming (HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, laboratory, M&E, health systems strengthening); demonstrated performance as a decision-maker with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership working effectively within and across the health, community, and NGO/FBO/CBO and private sectors. French fluency required. |
