Position: Senior Procurement Manager

Job description :

Duties to include but are not limited to:
• Provide leadership to the procurement function
• Managing the Procurement support to the different organizational sections, provide operational guidance and demonstrate the ability to ensure regulatory compliance of operations
• Strives to ensure a suitable and friendly working environment for the (decentralized) Procurement team
• Strategize, plan and develop the procurement services in line with the (future) organizational needs
• Custodian of the Procurement policies and procedures
• Continuously improve operational efficiency through analyzing data and identifying needs and advising management on appropriate measures to ensure continuity of operations and desired service level
• Budget accountability
• Develops Key Performance Indicators and strives towards continues improvement
• Train newly appointed staff under his/her supervision on current valid standard operating procedures

Job requirements.

Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a reputable higher learning institution
• Minimum of 9 years working experience with a reputable organization
• At least 4 years post experience in the area of supplies management at supervisory level
• Computer literate (Basic computer knowledge with MS-Office and Internet with Effective Browsing Skills)
• Knowledge and experience with SAP
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English (verbal, reading, writing)
• Report writing
• Must be registered by the Procurement professionals body in Tanzania (Procurement and Supplies
Professionals and Technician’s Board - PSPTB)
