The University of Rwanda informs the public that it would like’ to recruit qualified administrative staff to fill the following positions:
1. University Lawyer (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Administrative Law, Business Law, International Law, Litigation Law and Law with 3 years of working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years. Working experience
2 University Director of Internal Audit Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Banking and Finance or Management with Accounting and Finance emphasis with 3 years of working experience or AO In the, above subjects with 5years of working experience in audit functions. Having completed Accounting Professional. Qualification recognized by IFAC (CPA, ACCA) will be an added advantage.
3 University Director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Statistics, Business Administration, International Business, Project Planning and Management, Economics, Management, Strategic Management, with 3 years of working experience; or AO in the above subjects with 5years of working experience.
4. Advisor to the DVC for Academic Affairs and Research (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Education sciences, Public Administration with 3years of working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years working experience.
5 University Librarian (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Library Sciences 3 years’ experience in an academic library or AO in 5 years of progressively increasing supervisory or administrative experience including budgetary responsibilities, library setting.
6 Director of Resource Mobilization and Investment Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in development studies, international studies/Business, Marketing, Communication, Fundraising, Business Administration, Economics, Project/Program Design and Development or related field) with 3 years working experience or AO in the above field with 5 year working experience in designing winning project, administration and implementation, development cooperation, Donor relations and fundraising profession, resource mobilization/fund raising and proposal development for an international research or development organization would be an advantage.
7 Advisor to the DVC of Administration and Finance (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Finance and Banking, Economics (Money and Banking), Business Management or management with finance and accounting specialization. Having completed at least some stages of professional examinations, such as CPA, ACCA, etc. will be added advantage with 3 years working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years of work experience.
8 University Director of Corporate Services Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Banking and Finance or Management with Accounting and Finance emphasis with 3 years working experience or AO with 5 years working. Having completed Accounting Professional Qualification recognized by IFAC (CPA, ACCA) will be added advantage.
9 Director of Procurement Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Supply Chain and Public Procurement Management, Procurement, Purchase Management, Finance, Accounting, Commerce with emphasis in procurement and suppliers, Management with at least 3 years working experience and Postgraduate Diploma or AO in the above subject with 5 years working experience. Having completed Accounting Professional Qualification recognized by IFAC (CPA, ACCA) will be added ‘ advantage.
10 Director of Finance Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Finance and Banking or Management with Accounting and Finance emphasis with 3 years working experience in auditing in a reputable organization or AO in the above subjects with 5 years working experience in auditing in a reputable organization. Having completed Accounting Professional -Qualification recognized by IFAC (CPA, ACCA) will be added advantage.
11 Director of Human Resource Management and Administration Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Administrative Sciences, Human Resource Management, Business Administration (Management) or Management with 3 years working experience. or ; AO in the above subject with 5 years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers compensation and conflict resolution.
12 Chief Information Officer (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 years working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years experiences in Oracle, SQL Server, MSQL, Certified in A+ and MySQL is requires; Certificate in SQL, PL/SQL and oracle is an added advantage.
13 Senior IT Governance (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 years working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years of experience in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Certified in A+ and MySQL is required; Certificate in SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle is an added advantage.
14 Senior IT Operations (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 years working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years of experience in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Certified in A+ and MySQL is required; Certificate in SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle is an added advantage.
15 Database Administrator (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 5 years of related experience in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Certified in A+ and MySQL is required; Certificate in SQL, PLJSQL and Oracle is an added advantage.
16 Network Administrator (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with5 years of related experience in network or infrastructure administration. Certifications in A+, N+ and CCNA is required; certification in Security+ and RHCE is an added advantage.
17 Application Officer (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with5 years of related experience in network or infrastructure administration. Certifications in A+, N+ and CCNA is required; certification in Security+ and RHCE is an added advantage.
18 System Administrator (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 5 years of related experience in network or infrastructure administration. Certifications in A+, N+ and CCNA is required; certification in Security+ and RHCE is an added advantage
19 Instructional Technology and Web Development Officer (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and. Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with5 years of related experience in network or infrastructure administration. Certifications in A+, N+ and CCNA is required; certification in Security + and RHCE is an added advantage
20 Payroll officer (2)
Minimum Required Qualification
AO in Accounting, Finance, or Management with Accounting and Finance emphasis with 3 years working experience.
21 Senior Estate Management Officer (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering, Environment engineering and Sanitations, Alternative Energy with 3 years working experience or AO in the above field with at least 5 years working experience in Building Construction and Facilities/Asset Management and proof of Rwanda Civil engineering Association membership.
22 University Director of Consultancy Unit (1)
Minimum Required Qualification
Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Public Administration, Administrative Sciences and IT Information Technology with 3 years working experience or AO in the above subject with 5 years of demonstrated experience delivering professional services to institution.
